Context
About TENDER HEART
✔︎ Tender Heart is a non-governmental organization located in Bhatola village, Faridabad.
✔︎ Provided children from slums with education and women with employment programs for the underprivileged in rural areas.
✔︎ Based on the philosophy that every people including women and children deserves the opportunity to live their lives to their fullest potential.
Problem
✔︎ In 2013, when I was working, our sponsorship had just been cut off. Thus, it had become difficult to raise funds for training teachers and facility maintenance costs.
✔︎ The summer heat had reduced the children’s motivation to learn.

Significance to My Career
✔︎ It was undoubtedly a great original experience in my career leading to my passion for social problem solving.
✔︎ Despite a small action, it taught me that taking some action could make a difference.
✔︎ Realizing that the NGO activities are limited in terms of financial sustainability, I decided to seek a business approach to solving poverty.
✔︎ It is incredibly difficult to accomplish anything with teams of different languages and cultures. (In fact, I could not get the Mongolian team engaged and, in turn, they did not join.)
✔︎ It is far easier to gain sympathy by actually showing than by telling.
