Context
About Project
✔︎ The client’s manufacturing and distribution bases had been repeatedly consolidated and closed, and the operations became cumbersome.
✔︎ In particular, since the business systems were different in each location, multiple systems were in disarray.
✔︎ The client needed to standardize operations and systems so that they could set up a flexible production and logistics structure in the future.
✔︎ To make this happen, PwC was chosen as the consultant.
Our Mission
Standardize the operations and systems of the client’s production and logistics bases, and build a foundation for the future.
Key Number
Propelled improvements at a total of 70 plants and distribution centers with 20 project members.

Task Overview
Needed to propel everything from the kick-off meeting to the actual system / operation replacements without delay, as the project leader of each location. (This is an overview only, as the details are confidential)

Outcome
✔︎ Completed projects in 5 locations in 16 months.
✔︎ Implemented standardization in operations and systems resulting in flexible reconfiguration of production lines.
✔︎ At one factory, the number of man-hours spent on the shipping floor per day was reduced by 24 minutes.

/ Logic alone will not move people, and to change something, getting close to their emotions is needed.
/ How effective the ethnographic approach in research is and wanted to deepen it further.
/ The economic impact that the manufacturing industry brings to the countryside is palpable.
✔︎ Came to seek knowledge in planning-related SCM operations, which led me to change jobs.
